Thesis - an unproved statement, especially one put forward as a premise in an argument
Analysis – to examine in detail in order to discover meaning, essential features, etc
Evidence - grounds for belief or disbelief; data on which to base proof or to establish truth or falsehood
Paraphrasing - a restatement of a text or passage giving the meaning in another form, as for clearness; rewording.
Credible - worthy of belief or confidence; trustworthy
Synthesis - a complex whole formed by combining.
Classification - to arrange or order by classes; categorize
Cause and Effect - noting a relationship between actions or events such that one or more are the result of the other or others.
Hook - a literary technique in the opening of a story that "hooks" the reader's attention so that he or she will keep on reading. The "opening" may consist of several paragraphs for a short story, or several pages for a novel, but ideally it is the opening sentence.
Informative Essay - an informative essay is one that provides information to the people who read it.
Third Person - The grammatical category of forms that designate a person or thing other than the speaker or the one spoken to. Examples of forms in the third person include English pronouns such as she and they.
Facts - a truth known by actual experience or observation; something known to be true

Opinions - a belief or judgment that rests on grounds insufficient to produce complete certainty.
